Terms of Service

The fine print, in plain words

FinishMoment.com (“the service”) is run by Bartosz Hernas as an independent project. By using the site you agree to these terms. Last updated: September 2026.

What the service is — and what you pay for

FinishMoment is an editing and processing service: we locate your finish in publicly published race footage by your bib number, cut a short clip around it, fetch your official results, and render overlays, cards and exports from them.

Every payment on FinishMoment pays for that service only — the work of cutting, rendering, overlay editing, hosting and delivering your export. A payment does not buy the video itself, a copy of the broadcast, or any rights, license or ownership in the underlying footage. We do not sell footage and we do not sublicense it.

The finish-line footage remains the property of its broadcasters and rights holders, who are credited and linked on every race page. Official race data comes from the public timing services. FinishMoment is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or associated with the IRONMAN brand, World Triathlon Corporation, any race organizer, broadcaster or timing provider; all trademarks belong to their owners.

Your exports

Exports are made for your personal, non-commercial use — sharing your own finish with friends, family and your social profiles. You are responsible for how you use and share them. If a rights holder asks us to stop processing their footage, we will, and affected clips may become unavailable; the overlay/card features built on your own photo and your official times are unaffected.

Anything you upload (a photo or short clip of your own) must be yours to use. Uploads are stored privately and used only to render your exports — never published. You can have one deleted any time; see the privacy policy.

Prices, payments and refunds

The basic service is free. Paid options (the Finisher Pack per race, or the Lifetime Pass) unlock additional editing features — extra overlay themes, splits on the overlay, custom colours, animated cards and watermark options — at the prices shown at checkout. A race pack applies to one race result (one event + one bib); a Lifetime Pass covers one bib per event, forever. Payments are processed by Stripe, acting as merchant of record, and Stripe’s own terms apply to the transaction. Something wrong with a purchase? Email [email protected] and we’ll make it right — refunds included.

No accounts, no promises of permanence

There are no accounts: results are tied to a race + bib (and, for the Lifetime Pass, an email address). Download links expire and rendered files are periodically cleaned up — keep your own copy of anything you care about. The service is provided as-is, without warranties; it may change, pause or shut down. To the extent the law allows, liability is limited to what you paid for the service in the past 12 months.

Takedowns and contact

Rights holders, organizers, or athletes who want something removed: email [email protected]. A finisher, a broadcaster or a race director always gets a fast answer from the actual human running this.
